Privacy policy

This translation is for convenience. The German version is legally binding.

Who is responsible

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is Seyed Bahman Amirzadeh, email: ba.amirzadeh@gmail.com. The postal address is in the legal notice (Impressum).

Hosting

This website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in its data centre in Nuremberg. Hetzner processes data on my behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data that the server needs to deliver it and to keep the website secure: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser and operating system, and the page you came from. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These details are used only to deliver the page; the server does not store them in log files.

All connections to this website are encrypted (HTTPS).

Contact form

If you write to me through a contact form, I process your name, your email address, your message, the topic you chose and the language of the page. I use them only to answer your enquiry. To catch typing mistakes, the server checks that the domain of your email address (the part after the @) can receive email, by looking it up in the Domain Name System (DNS); the rest of the address is not part of the lookup. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a possible contract, and otherwise my legitimate interest in answering messages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your message is delivered by email through Google’s mail service to my Gmail mailbox. For users in the EU the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR).

I delete your enquiry once it is settled. If it leads to a contract, I keep it for as long as tax and commercial law require.

Protection against abuse

To stop the contact form from being flooded, the server counts how many messages arrive from each IP address (for IPv6, from its /64 block). This count is kept only in the server’s working memory, is never written to disk or to logs, and is deleted within 15 minutes. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a working contact form (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Motion setting and the free tool

If you switch motion off or on, your choice is saved in your own browser (localStorage) so the website remembers it. It is never sent to me. Storing it is strictly necessary for a function you asked for, so no consent is needed (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).

The answers you give in the free tool stay in your browser and are not sent to me.

What this website does not use

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising. It embeds no content from other providers. Fonts are served from my own server, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18), and to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20). Where I process data on the basis of my legitimate interest, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, write to ba.amirzadeh@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state where you live or work or where the alleged infringement took place.

Other

You are not obliged to provide personal data. Without it, however, I cannot answer an enquiry sent through the contact form. I do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
